Corporate Social Responsibilty

Vision
Our vision as a company is to be the most respected motor vehicle company in Kenya and with this in mind; we are engaged in various projects that reflect our responsibility towards the society in which we engage in.

The DT Dobie Millennium Forest located in the Nairobi National Park was started in 2001. The aim of this annual project is to provide a natural fencing area between the park and the surrounding pastoralist communities with indigenous trees being planted to provide shade and sustenance to the animals in the park.

DT Dobie was among the first corporate bodies to introduce the HIV/Aids programme within the organisation in 2001. Through a system of peer educators, we have been in the forefront of educating our employees as well as our surrounding public through donations to various AIDS benefit organisations. Our organisation also provides ARVs to our HIV positive employees and their spouses so that they can continue to lead normal productive lives.

DT Dobie has a bursary fund for our employees whereby every year, the top 10 KCPE candidates are awarded scolarships towards their education. The company pays their full fees for their four years of high school.

In additon, DT Dobie is directly involved and committed to the sponsorship of various charitable projects such as the Upendo Village in Naivasha for HIV / Aids infected orphans. This is a joint effort by all members of staff who have agreed to have a certain portion deducted from their monthly income to cater towards the development and sustenance of this foundation. This has been an ongoing exercise since 2006.
