On the 27th May 2006, D.T Dobie sponsored the Fannah Film Festival at Fox Drive-In Cinema. The Film Festival was organized for the Asian community and involved the premiere of one of the biggest Indian movie release of the year – Fannah featuring top Bollywood actors Kajol and Amir Khan. The Festival was an opportunity for us to mingle with our Asian customers and also show them some of our top models.

NISTEC Competition

This year’s NISTEC finals were held on 5th June 2006. The Nissan International Service Technicians Contest – otherwise known as NISTEC, is a bi-annual event organised Nissan Motor Company for all its franchise holders worldwide. Participants are drawn countrywide from all our Nissan branches and dealers and the final 8 contestants battle it out in the Nationals. This is the 8th NISTEC competition being held since its inception. This year’s winner was EVANS KARANJA who will go on to South Africa to compete with other contestants from the African region. 2 winners from that continental stage will then go on to the Finals held in Tokyo Japan sometime in November. In the past, Kenya has had all our contestants go through to the final stage in Japan and we hope that EVANS will continue this trend.

Nairobi 8th April 2006… DT Dobie today planted tree seedlings worth KShs. 300,000 at the Nairobi National Park. The activity dubbed the DT Dobie Millenium Forest is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility program, initiated in 2002. This has seen over 5,000 trees planted at the Nairobi National Park in a span of four years.
