For the second year running, D T Dobie staff and family came together to plant 1,000 tree seedlings as part of our millenium forest project at the Karura Forest. The trees act as a buffer against human development and also provide a barrier against plastic paper bags that get blown into the park.

The company's efforts at afforestation began in 2000 with the company spending over Kshs. 2 million in the exercise at the Nairobi National Park which was then relocated to the Karura forest. D T Dobie has taken on the project as part of its social repsonsibility program to help reduction in atmospheric pollution especially caused by motor vehicles.
