Our service department has been running a recycling and reclamation programme that sees over 8,000 liters of water recycled daily in our efforts to ensure that our operations are environmentally friendly.
The water-recycling programme involves removal of solid waste from the water through sedimentation while oil slick and waste is removed through an oil separation system ensuring that the water that is finally treated by Aluminium Sulphate (to breakdown soap enzymes) and Chlorine 65 (for purification), is clean. Recycled water is thereafter used for cleaning cars, routine cleaning and when released into the drainage system is totally environmentally friendly.
Oil takes approximately one thousand year to break down and it is with this frame of mind that D T Dobie conjured up the initiative to ensure all oil deposits are wrung from the filter thereafter, the oil is collected and disposed of to Allied Plumbers for use in furnaces. The oil filters are then disposed off to be used as scrap metal in the Jua Kali sector.
As a company, we believe in conserving our environment by ensuring that our waste NEnever destroys it for posterity's sake therefore the investment not only in this project.
